Background:
Hannah grew up in a small country Victorian town called Maffra and made the move to Melbourne to complete her undergraduate studies in a Bachelor of Exercise Science at LaTrobe University. Hannah soon moved to the Gold Coast to complete a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at Bond University graduating with Honours. Hannah has also undertaken research where her first literature review on Skin Cancer in Water Based Sports was published.
Hannah’s desire to become a Physiotherapist started when she was 14 years old when her brother experienced his first major injury. Watching someone close to her go through surgery, followed by rehabilitation with the goal to return to sport, Hannah knew this was something she wanted to do. Her passion only enhanced through her years of sport and coaching children in gymnastics and volleyball.
Hannah has experience in a variety of physiotherapy clinical settings covering musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, cardiorespiratory and oncology clients. Hannah has an extensive background in working with children of all ages, including working with disability schools to promote healthy activity.
Hannah comes from a large sporting background where she has competed at State and National levels for Swimming, Netball, Gymnastics and Volleyball. Hannah currently still plays Volleyball in the QLD State League, is a coach for junior athletes and is an active member of her clubs committee. Away from work, Hannah enjoys travelling and spending time with her friends and family.
