About Lucy Ogden:
After completing her degree at the University of Queensland in 2012, Lucy has moved to the Gold Coast to focus her skills and expertise in the private practice and sports physiotherapy field. She has worked extensively with a variety of sporting teams both in the local area and in Brisbane.
Lucy has a strong focus on identifying underlying issues to both get you moving faster and prevent the risk of re-injury. Her treatments are functional and ‘hands on’, utilizing soft tissue work, joint mobilizations, myofascial techniques and dry needling, as well as functional strength, flexibility and re-training exercises to get to back to doing what you love sooner. She also uses Pilates and pilates-style exercises for lasting strengthening programs.
As a former elite rower, Lucy has had her fair share of sport related injuries and understands how frustrating it can be, to be unable to participate in the activities you enjoy due to pain or injury. She has a special interest in treating low back and spine injuries. She has worked with local rowing and soccer clubs, with previous experience with rugby and AFL teams, and the numerous injuries associated with these sports too!
Outside of the practice, Lucy enjoys coaching, rowing, scuba diving, travel and a long afternoon in a hammock with a book.
